Hello,

Does the gas tank have a float or is it an electronic metering device that sends a signal to the gas gauge?

My gas gauge lately has periodically signalled empty having a full tank.
I shut off motor, open gas cap, let out pressure, replace cap.
Upon start up and there on, the needle registers correctly again.

Does the gas tank have a screen that may be gunked up?

(any easy way to blow air into it to clean up or how to remove screen??
