I am replacing my 1998 E320 trans with a 'remanufactured' unit. They sent me a trans that had a different tail flange size (1/2 inch smaller) and a torque converter with a 'bolt to flywheel' pattern that is (1/4"?) out.
Was there a 'mid-model' change in this transmission/torque converter?
Am I building a problem here (wrong trans for application?) My wife is glaring at this car on blocks for 4 weeks now...please help!
