They opened a Cabela's in my hometown of Wheeling, WV. Projected 4 million people a year would visit, most from out of town. That's 10,958 people per day 365 days a year. The store's been open about three years and management says they are exceeding expectations. To accomodate the traffic, the state even added an exit to I-70 complete with a huge overpass. Un-frigging-believable.

This store has spawned another Generica in what was otherwise a dwindling economy. Now they have added Wal-mart, Target and about 50 other stores and restaurants in the Cabela's mall.

I agree it's a cool place to kill a few hours. If you look closely, you can find some bargains. And my opinion is the quality is generally very good.
