I guess I'll jump in here too. I paid $1400 for my 87 300E back in May of this year. Since then I have changed a lot of components to get it running good and to stay running. Put on all new brake rotors and pads and one frozen caliper was replaced.

Last week I dropped $1100 into it to get some major rust fixed on the driver side rear door. My body guy found that it had previous damage there and the fix was not correct. They pulled the dents and left behind 56 holes in the door............covered it with mud and painted,,,,,,,,walaa! RUST! So my body shop fixed it the right way and it looks absolutely awesome! They also fixed a spot under the left tail light. I have the crystal tail lights. Totally modernizes the rear of the car.

I haven't totaled receipts yet, but it is probably around $3400 spread over the last 6 months. I love this car and I feel it is worth every penny spent on it! Even being 21 years old it evokes a lot of comments from my friends and customers at work. They cannot believe it is 21 years old!
