Is it only effecting feul consumption? I'm having difficulty accelerating, struggling at 40 to 60 km/hr. There is a humming noise during this struggle. Its fine some time but ussually uphill is always a problem. Could this be due to this issue or transmission fluid.

It look like a plastic hose rathen than rubber. Is replacing this part DIY, there is no liquid in that hose?
