First of all I can tell you that the Volvo 240 series are uber-reliable... certainly more reliable than a MB of its age. It has a mechanically simple design. The suspension is heaven to work on. The chassis handles AMAZING when Bilstein HD's are mounted. Undoubtedly, a decent example of a GT is worth $2800, but it would have to be decent for me (read: very little rust and no serious accidents) .
