I was impressed by my MB windshields. Both were without cracks or dings even though both are 1986 models. I had the usual pitting, however, and was thinking of getting both replaced soon. Well, we got some cold weather and three inches of snow. The 300e is parked outside. I looked today and the windshield has a crack across the bottom nearly stretching from one side to the other. So, the original went for 15 and a half years and will now be replaced by the insurance company. Next, I'll park the 560 outside if there is any snow in the forecast.
My 1999 Honda got a crack in the first 6 months that I owned it.
