So, where does the air come out? and does it change at all when you press bi level/defrost? The is an air handler behind the glove box that is in charge of applying vacuum to the various vacuum pods.. Im not sure if your year has it but my 99 S320 has some diagnostics built into the Climate Control Unit. Mine was blowing only to the defrost sometimes and it turned out to be a loose connection to the vacuum manifold behind the glove box. There was actually a code set in the ccu that said just that..
