Sure they exist and they probably represent the overwhelming majority of educated Muslims. The problem is not with them just as the problem with wacky Christians isn't the modest, educated Christians. It's the poorly educated, culturally isolated Muslims who have no clue about the greater world outside of their village. They are easily manipulated by zealots such as Bin Laden or cynical Muslim politicians who manipulate them into focusing their attention on others (such as Jews or Christians) and blame them for the miserable conditions in which they live.
