i agree with steve to a large extent. however people expect a lot more from an MB that they do from a ford focus. so for the same number of defects the dissatisfaction is going to be a lot more. however MB fell behind other luxury brands such as lincoln and cadillac. also the introduction of the cheaper class of cars might have hurt their average.
