I have a 1985 380SE with 106K. When I start the car, there is a hesitation before it shifts into reverse, and it gives a little jolt before it does. Also, when turning it corner, it hunts for a downshift when I put my foot back on the gas. This is all before the car has really warmed up. Is this just because the old girl needs more time? Could it be a u-joint? Or is the transmission slipping?
