I think someone's predudice is showing.
There are a variety of definitions of what is "religion". Some say it is simply a set of beliefs. Under that definition. "atheism" is most certainly a religion. Atheism is a set of beliefs that actually guides or even controls the actions of its adherents.
Sounds like a religion to me.
