First the second part of that quote...
Ask me how much I've spend so far on my car (and note the price in the sig), then ask how much more I have to go

As to the first part of that quote:
Whether or not Forced spammed 240Joe's inbox is immaterial. If there was a car, and *if it still ran*, it wouldn't have much life left in it.

In a nutshell 240Joe claimed there was no need to change oil in a 240D when using high end synthetic oil. Several of us disagreed (some more forcefully than others), and a couple members, myself included, figured the following: Want to ruin your car? That's your business. But if we pay for the involved costs could we learn something in the process? Specifically we were going to pay on our dime for oil analysis of 240Joe's 240D's oil to see how well it held up under those rather harsh conditions. I thought it would have been an awesome experiment to see just how far you could push the limits, even if you willing to destroy things in the process. Alas 240Joe left while calling names and stuff and never returned.

So to summarize:
Assuming we weren't getting our collective leg pulled (in which case that was the best troll ever), and that car saw no oil changes for a year, with the 60 mile a day commute, the engine doesn't really stand a chance. Your cheap daily driver would have left you on the road stranded with a spun bearing in short order.

Best wishes, and hang out here long enough you will get a lead on a decent deal

It would appear I crafted this lovely response to a banned account. I am brilliant 'taint I?
