yep prolly.

I don't see what car you have but most of the 123 and 124 cars have a brush regulator combo that is really easy to change and is pretty available too from common parts stores. It fits onto the backside of the alternator and can be changed in ten minutes with a screwdriver.

BTW that is usually what fails first. Check your belt and connections first though.
