Next time it dies I'd pull the fuel pump relay and jumper pin receptacles 7 & 8. This will turn your fuel pumps on for as long as they are jumpered. If that does the trick you'll know your FPR is on the fritz.

If not, you can check for spark..a spare spark plug around would make the job easier
