I have one of the older 60GB video ipods. I bought a video converter package from a company named 99bytes ( I think) that converts most commercial DVD's to ipod MP4 format. A 90-120 minute movie will take 700mb - 1GB storage. You can move them on and off the ipod from itunes so you don't need to keep them all on the ipod all the time. My kids use it while I drive them to soccer games.
