I've been holding out hope for a diesel Odyssey for a while now. I know it has been discussed at length on the Ody Club forum and has been rumored for 5 or 6 years. MAYBE, it will finally come to fruition.

I'm completely naive when it comes to the non-U.S. market, what kind of history does Honda have with diesel engines? Are they common in other countries? If this is their first foray into diesels I'm not sure I want to buy the first one off the lot.

VW's system sure seems like patchwork, you'd think they could develop a better converter rather than just injecting urea.
