Connect a voltmeter to the battery when the car is idling. If the voltage reading is not between 13.2 and 14 volts,then you need alternator service period. You can by a non-Bosch brushholder assembly for about $15 and replace it in about 15 minutes or buy a complete rebuilt alternator for about $175.
