Dodge Swinger

I had occasion to rent a brand new '72 Dodge Swinger when my car was bieng repaired at the Dodge Dealer body shop in Sacramento.

What a fantastic little car it was!! Perfect for the times, a lovely little compact car, beautiful pattern on the cloth upholstery, nippy and stylish,
318 and the torqueflite transmission made it a hit, in my book. I was sorry to have to return it, made worse by the fact it was brand new.

I'd also had the use of a '71 Plymouth Roadrunner 383 manual, and that one was a LOT of fun - a real hoot. Say what you will about the crappy handling and braking of those supercars, they were sure lots of fun!!!

The '71-'72 Roadrunners IMO were the best looking midsize musclecar coupes of them all. I like the ideaa of the more upscale GTX more, but nothing could beet them for sheer good looks.

I'd have loved to try one with a 426 HEMI!!!!
