Not sure if this was discussed yet, but in my experience you should NEVER refill the radiator and run the engine soon after losing coolant. The temperature differential could blow the head gasket. Think about it - suddenly circulating cool water through a red-hot cylinder head - yikes!!! I have seen more than one head gasket blown this way...
