Thumbs up '81 200D/manual, with horseshoe, 60 hp w/trailer hitch. Lovely!!

Look at this gem, talk about the essence of elegant Euro simplicity.

Not a taxi, it is GOLD!!!! Ad crows it has 50% MORE hp than the 1950 170D. Now that is progress!!! I can't imagine having a nicer daily driver than this, a pretty little basic W123 euro gray market diesel that was not some taxi.

Wouldn't you just love to own this car?

It just might be old enough to be had for the mere cost of shipping to the USA, isn't a 25 year old car old enough to not be subject to the DOT/EPA gray market laws anymore, so that you could actually import this car to the USA and drive it exactly as is, without making any modifications from its present euro condition?

What is the meaning of those chrome grille mounted horseshoes, you only see these on the German Mercedes, every now and then?

Luck? Well, you certainly would need it if you are towing a trailer with a 60 hp motor, I'd reckon....

Those Clause F Mirbach dealers sure have wonderful cars. Look at those prewar SSK, 540K Speziale cabrio, other cars.
