FWIW, even with the potential issues these cars have, I doubt that they are any more severe issues than you'd find in any other 15 year old car.

Besides, NO 15-year-old car drives like a 15-year-old 400E. If the car has not been neglected and you have some funding available for maint/repair, GO FOR IT.

I have owned a couple dozen cars in my day and my '92 400E is hands down the FINEST automobile I have ever owned.
