It will not flash on the home built reader or the built in one.
I just tested all of the pins and I only have code 10 on pin 6 and code 5 on pin 7. I cleared these and the CEL remains on.

So, if the CEL is still on....do you get any flashes when you press the built-in diagnostic button for 3-4 seconds?
Never underestimate the amount of codes that thing can spew forth - each one needs to be cleared individually...no clearing all codes at once via pushbutton.
