If it concerns you, I'd suggest keeping a can of MAF cleaner in the trunk to buy you time until you could get a replacement if/when needed.
I replaced my orig at ~125k; the replacement now has 100k. It's not like they go out often......On the diesel it is VERY obvious when they fail; no turbo boost and can't pull more than 3k rpms + a CEL. It can't be THAT difficult to know when it fails on a gasser either.....
