To update my October Post....
'82 300SD (my car) - 267,870 Bought it with 207,128 in July 2003. So I have had it for 4.5 years and over 60k! I'll drive it forever! Have only replaced about 458 parts in that time period.
Ok...maybe a tad less than that
'83 300SD (my dads car) - 293,480ish Bought in August 2004 with 248k on it. Probably around 120 things have been replaced.
And a LOT of rust has been repaired.
'83 300D (my dads other car) - 225,493 as of today. Bought it with 221,200 on it.... We've only repaired or replaced probably 10 parts, and we've had it a whole year already. By far the least expensive of the three so far.
Also cost about 1/3 as much to buy it as the other two. Then again its driven about 1/3 as much....
