Sennheiser HD-25 (NOT the sp) are an industry standard. I have a set of HD280s' right now - besides the cracked headband (properly duct-taped) and bulkiness, they sound amazing. If anything breaks on the hd25, every part is user-replaceable. Just be careful - they reach an insane spl (130db)

whatever you do, stay away from stanton and sony. (ESP. if your getting them on ebay)


I hate BOSE. Sennheiser and Grado will sound 10x better. Boses' motto should be "Better sound through Marketing" as all their "Breakthrough" new designs are all cover in books dating back over 50 years. Might aswell be throwing your money away.
