Well it's going to take some getting used to, ... but I think I like it.

The Topsider has been sitting around, I always considered it useful for gas-engine boats, not really for cars, but some here swear by it. I tried it.

I do prefer the satisfying rush of hot oil out of the drain plug, feeling that it will drain completely and bring any sludge out with it and won't stop until the oil pan is empty, I guess I'll have to get used to the slurping and bucking of the suction tube when the sump is empty.

Yep, took 8quarts just like the old-fashioned way, must've been empty, but I did it standing up. I think I'm a convert.
