Oh come now... she has been better than say Albright. She is also very intelligent and tough. It has been too long since we HAVE thrown our weight around. Every other country in the world be it France or China or Germany or Libya looks out for THEMSELVES first. we are the only nation that has consistently put our own self interests last. That includes this war. If France had invaded Iraq you would be damn sure that ELF would be running the oil fields and Iraq would now be a integral part of Greater France.
I think Condi would have made a much better candidate and a better president than any of the dwarves running on either side.
Hillary is the consummate political hack. She has done NOTHING in her two terms as Senator from NY. She has not created a single job in NY, helped with the outrageous taxes in my (former) state, nor done anything except hold fund raisers. Oh and she has played the 'little woman' card anytime it suits her. I can imagine her meeting say the president of China or Iran to take them on over some tough issue and pulling a cry-baby stunt like she did on TV the other week. She would get us laughed off the planet with that attitude. Did Margret Thatcher go crying and weeping on TV to the British people when the Argentine government invaded the Falklands?
Condi has already stood up to the German government and made them see things her way. Too bad she is too smart to want to put herself through a Presidential race.
Rudy at least cleaned up NYC and seems to be the kind of tough person we need in control during shaky times. Granted he is a free trader, but that is about the only traditional Republican thing he stands for, well that and Defense...
Obama and Edwards are what I call Haircuts. They both look good in suits but don't have much to say for themselves. Obama is great at talking about "HOPE" but he has no plans for this country that I can find. Of course with Oprah stumping for him he will probably have every mindless housewife in middle America voting for him. Edwards, well he at least looks good on TV.
McCain, well I just don't like him very much. He seems to think he is entitled to this nomination and if you are against him, then you are against war heroes. It is not that I don't like him (haircut factor) but he is too like the Democrats to be a Republican...
Rommney and Huckabee are just not viable in my book...
All in all I am very disappointed in this crop of dwarves. Where is the Ronald Reagan or Teddy Roosevelt or even FDR of today?
I think I might just throw my vote away on the Libertarian or maybe vote Socialist this year. Just to give throw them a bone...
Oh and whoever compared Obama to James Earl Carter better not be right. Jimmy was one of the worst things to happen to this country in a long time... Remember "Malaise" sheesh... and now he is the "Elder Statesman" Cripes!
