Although I think that even if we keep up as we are it won't make a difference in 50 years. Maybe 2-300 years if we keep going as we are, but by then we will hopefully be using bio fuels and nuclear power for our electricity and transportation. At the rate we are building new nuclear power plants and bio refineries it will take 300 years before they can take the place of petroleum.

I am simply saying that global warming is just something people point at, and yell about. I was expanding the topic to say, even if global warming is just some cyclic phenomena characteristic of this planet, we need to evaluate how we do everything.
Not all of our resources are renewable (most aren't). Oil, coal, natural gas are closely tied into our daily lives. Clearly, they are finite. What happens when we run low on one or all of them? It's going to happen, all people can do is argue about when.
There is no single answer to what to do. There are a lot of smaller solutions; I believe that we'll need everything we can get, as soon as we can. Just for the sake of this environment in which we have to live.
Keep the discussion going!
