IA, I just used one of the regular rust-killing brush-on coatings, silver actually, which cost 6 or 8 bucks. Clean the EHA really well, which is pretty easy since it has been basking in fuel, dry it well, with an air blast preferably, paint the POR-15 slop on it, I did 3 coats.

Then, the kicker, let dry for at least 6 hours before install. I think I even waited two or three hours between coats and the stuff dries slow. I suppose baking it could speed it up a bit.

When it dries, it's like steel. I have not seen it on the shelf, I've gotten all of mine directly from the maker via their website.

That doesn't help you for moving the car on Friday, sorry. hey, I drove my first one for three months before various passenger complaints about the gas smell made me look for the leak
