Those who oppose the pres are happy to claim OBL is "alive and living in the tribal regions of Pakistan." They blame OBL's escape and survival on a failed military/war on terror policy. But, they aren't as happy as the president himself. Perceiving him as alive provides the administration with powerful leverage to keep funding the war on terror. If he's dead, why spend the bucks? Since he's still out there, we must pursue him. The next republican president will also claim OBL is still alive. Betcha.
