yeah, not a big fan of the govt getting into everything, but some things.
as i recall, medicare was developed for retired folks who cannot work because they've reached retirement age. but i dont see the same reasoning holding true here in this obese people banning law as (just guessing here) most of the people are not going to be retired, obese people.
on the medicare/SSI issue, i think every country should have such a system to help out people who have paid into it with their taxes.
