At least the guy is sitting quietly, not doing nuetral drops and/or burnouts with the car.

The service writer or head tech are the only people allowed to test drive cars at my shop. Letting the tech do it wastes valuable time that he could use to fix another car. Besides, it lets us make sure the car is clean and that the problem has really been fixed.
