As I recall, the insertion point was the top, and to the rear, of the driver's door. It may require (purists, close your eyes) a slight pulling of the top of the door away from the body but this can be easily restored to its previous position.

Now, I'm not saying I'd try this on a new CLS500 or such. Just sayin'........
