Laser's are a blast, they are fast as can be and turn on a dime.
A Star is a complicated boat, everything is adjustable. Or as we like to say, there are a lot of strings to pull.
But a lot of serious racers go through them on their way up. With a crew you learn about that side, and they allow you to get used to the even cooler rigs the larger guys have. They don't have spinnikers sadly, which I just don't understand. So when you get on a real boat and they yell "blow the guy" your kind of lost.
You need a lift to sail one, since they are a keel boat.
