My 87 tdt w124 has an alarm issue,when i try and open door thru driver side it beeps,i have to go to pass side and unlock for it to shut off,or i can open car from pass side,this gets old after a while so i disconected the plug underneath carpet on pass side,my question is is the computer there that goes bad? whats is the plug above the alarm for? im wandering if it is the hatch assist motor,if not does anyone know where the assist motor for the hatch connect or how to check it,it doesnt come on and id like it to,makes closing so much easier,of course its also more dangerous but im ok with that.
