I got a remington electric shaver at Target for 30 bux. I made the mistake of letting my beard grow for about 5 days before i used it for the first time. Hurt like hell! Just yanked out all the hair. My neck was red for a couple days.

But I soon learned to just shave with it every day...it's a very comfortable shave and after about a week or two your skin gets used to it and you'll stop getting irritated.

It is totally different than disposable razors, since those just take off a fine layer of skin. The electric ones take off no skin, just cut the hair off the existing skin so it'll take a while for your skin to get used to being rubbed against and agitated. I don't break out anymore after shaving though, which is a plus, also the shave is a lot closer. No more messy shaving cream and burning aftershave.
