The electric razors are expensive and seem to bother my skin pretty quickly. The cheap throw aways are good for like 1-2 uses before my neck gets really red. Mac's 3's are expensive, but so is this Merkur.

Are they any good or am I just going to turn my face into a bloody mess? I once went to an old school barbor who used one and it was a pretty awsome shave.
That's great! It's the kind of razor I started shaving with, when I was kid ... I didn't really have to shave, but I thought it was sooo cool!

However, back then my skin couldn't really take the shaving action until way into my twens. All kinds of irritations. I did blame it on the razor/shaver.
Growing a beard didn't help either, it just got worse under the hair.

Later, I found the disposable Gillette's pretty comfy, but it's true they loose their edge quickly and cheap skid as I am, I use them way too long.

Just today, I had a 3 day beard removed with an old dual blade Gillette. It still hurts ...

Those look great! I think I'll get one of those.
Do they come with replacement blades? Or can you get blades for it separately?

Ps. You need to practice with the adjustment, it will change the angle of the blade. If you open it up too far, you'll cut yourself and those cuts are usually deeper then with disposables that have a fixed angle.
As long as you keep the adjustment snug or thight you should be fine.
