This one has a "cleaning station" that rinses the head in some alcohol based stuff - good cleaning job + sanitary. I've had far less razor-attributable rashes using that cleaner.

The manual suggests you clean it every day - bah, I say. Every Friday after shaving - that has been good enough, and the cleaning solution lasts for several months that way.

When I was first shaving, I had a real problem with irritation on my neck. Remington makes a powder stick that has the properties of baby powder, without the "cutsie" smell. Rub that on your neck and face and the shaver glides smoothly with little or no irritation.

As others have indicated, most people eventually get used to the friction of an electric razor. I know I did.

I do shave with a blade (Atra or something similar) about once a week - usually on Sunday night in the shower to trim off 2 days worth of growth over the weekend. With the blade, I don't need to shave again until Tuesday morning. With the electric razor, I have to shave in the evening if I'm going out and need to look presentable.
I might try that. I hate it when the damn foil develops a hole. All of a sudden, you're putting tiny little cuts all over your face. I usually put some elec. tape on the hole until I can get a new foil.

I just bought another new, in package, Remington DA 307 on E-bay for $14, $9 shipping; about what the replacement blade and foil cost by themselves. I've got 4 now. I've suggested to Costco that they carry the replacement blades but no luck. Probably wouldn't cost that much less anyway.
