I was all hot to trot to put a manual tranny behind a turbod 617... but theres a reason MBZ didn't do it. Just look at the stall speed of the auto trannys behind the turbo 617 for starts.


Please don't get me wrong, I'm NOT one of those purists who think that car engineering reached its peak in the early 80's in stuttgart, If I think I can improve upon my car(s), I give it a try, and I encourage others to do the same, however in this case, others have tried it... w/ very mixed results.
