This is my "alternate" driver at this point, 1992 400E. The other day, I came out of a stop and leaned on the throttle hard, pedal to the floor, slight uphill grade. The car accelerated to a point then would not upshift, staying in gear until I eased back on the throttle. The car was fully warmed up.

It has also been a bit sluggish generally, no zip.

Any ideas?
