consult the head gasket mechanic

Many times the 3.5L engine will have bent rods and either an ovalling cylinder or crooked, worn pistons, but still run remarkably well. One sign to look for while the head is off is "tipped" pistons. This seems to be the key indicator of the more serious issues to come. Can you talk with the mechanic that did the head gasket?
