I'm pleased with the sound quality and decible levels that my system provides.
Mercedes are built tight. The trunk is very much insulated from sound transimission into the passanger cabin with the gas tank being located behind the back seat .
When installing your amp don't make the mistake I did and mount it on the wall in the trunk behind the back seat. That's the gas tank!
I smelled gas, felt dampness then felt like a fool. What a pain. I had to pull the tank and have it repaired. A costly lesson.
I have an Eclipse cd head unit that looks like it was designed for the car, no distracting light shows or video graphics, a JL sub amp and a JL 4 channel amp powering the fronts and rears.
I built a mounting board un front of the gas tank to mount my amps and crossovers. The sub is in a box.
