I loved "...And Justice For All", but everything after that has ranged from mediocre to downright disappointing. The only Metallica disc I've honestly enjoyed after AJFA is "S&M", largely because it showcases the power of their older music when standing up against a symphony orchestra. Stuff like "Battery", "Call of Ktulu" and "Master of Puppets" were absolutely meant to be heard that way. Michael Kamen, the conductor who wrote the symphonic parts, really understood the music.
