I have a starter not working on my 300TDT. It will spin but will not "engage". I have it on the bench and have removed the solonoid and cleaned that but with no differance. It seems like the gear is stuck or siezed on the shaft. Is that possible? I was thinking of taking the starter apart but not sure what trouble I could get into. Any suggestions? Could the starter be dirty inside? Is it easy to disassemble and more important assemble? Any help appreciated.
