Afterglow means that the relay will keep the glow plugs on, for (X) seconds.
For instance, a 60 Second afterglow, means the relay will keep them on for 60 seconds total, which really helps with cold weather starts.
I just did it to my 83 300CD (most people just do it on the w124s, but I found some parts from europe that will work on the 617 motor), but Im selling my other kit because Im selling my coupes. Pictures are on ebay too. Its easy, it takes like 20 minutes provided you have a soldering gun and some basic tools.
