And the same should apply to affirmative action in the workplace. If a person is qualified, race shouldn't matter. If a person is not qualified, race shouldn't matter. Biasing a workplace census to reflect the ethnicity ratio in the region of the employer does not help the situation. Instead it puts unqualified people in positions merely because of their race or heritage, not in spite of it.
