Thanx so much. I was just out practicing on my 201 parts car and could see that I could get the tumbler out by turning it to slip it off the latch but did not think to try the key as a release mechanism!!

The latch itself seems to have completely died, the handles work fine. From the feel of it, this will not be rebuildable, it must have an internal spring that broke. Anyone know if a 201 latch will substitute in the 124?

Thanx again for the immediate response Zeus.
