My car is an 84 190E 2.3 8valver, automatic. The roof only slides , not the pop up kind that came later. When I say the roof sags, its the whole panel , not just the headliner/interior fabric, that is sagging. Looking from the outside of thecar, the corner is depressed. I get wet alot in the car wash!

So that roof panel headliner pops off. I'll get in there this weekend if I have any energy after doing the timing chain job that I have been avoiding.

I do have to put a bit of muscle into getting the roof back and forth. I dont think the motor is doing any of the work. I'll ahve to dig into the CD shop manual so more about the subject.
