What happened? You said you had it starting and running and you were fighting with the mixture adjustment.

What is it doing now?

But to answer your question. Yes it is possible for them to leak. Some people think they are a trouble spot. Others have said they rarely cause problems. My experience on a 240K mile car with idle problems was that it made no difference.
